Compare

How we stack up, honestly

Every one of these pages opens by saying what the other tool does better. Anything we claim about them carries the date it was checked and a link to where. If we cannot make the argument that way, we do not have one.

Which one to read

Most of these fall into three groups, and the group tells you more than the feature list does.

General project tools — Asana, monday.com, ClickUp, Trello and Notion. They run the work well and stop before the money. If you are on one of these, the comparison is about what happens after a task is finished: who logs the time, where the rate lives, and who builds the invoice.

Agency systems — Productive, Scoro, Accelo and Teamwork. These already know about clients and money, so the comparison is narrower and more honest: what they cost, how much of it you have to assemble, and whether they are built for the size you actually are.

Tools for one person — Bonsai and Kitchen.co. Good at what they do, and the question is what happens on the third hire.

Jira sits on its own. It is built for teams shipping their own software rather than client work, so that page is about a different mismatch.
